Linda McQuaig is an award winning journalist, best-selling author and longtime activist. Before becoming the NDP candidate for Toronto Centre, Linda worked as a reporter and columnist for The Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star and Maclean’s.

 

Linda has always been a progressive force in Canada, fighting against income inequality, the dismantling of social programs and inaction on climate change. Linda has developed a national reputation for challenging the establishment -- fighting against income inequality, the austerity agenda and excessive corporate power.

 

A prolific author, Linda has written seven national best-sellers on politics and economics, as well as receiving a National Newspaper Award for investigative journalism and an Atkinson Fellowship for Journalism in Public Policy.

 

Born and raised in Toronto, Linda is committed to fighting for a more equal and inclusive Canada as a member of the Toronto NDP team.
